Inadvertently, the success of her endeavor also empowered her to break the silence on her long-term struggle with intimate partner violence and redefine her future. As a survivor and advocate for domestic violence awareness, Sandra invests her resilience, creativity, and the power of uplifting words into designing purposeful products that are treasured by loved ones and their recipients.

MAKING EVERY BAG COUNT- Sandra has officially partnered with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence {NCADV}. A portion of the net proceeds from each sale will be donated toward creating a culture of zero tolerance for domestic violence.

Established in the fall of 2016, Cultura Craft Chocolate is a Latin American inspired bean-to-bar chocolate making company with a mission to create truly amazing chocolate that has greater transparency, sustainability, and accessibility. Specifically inspired by Damaris' (owner) experience during her childhood trips to her family's hometown in Mexico, Cultura seeks to honor and share the history and cultures of the communities where cacao originated.

Cultura's commitment has been recognized by the chocolate community when their 70% Haiti won a 2017 Good Food Award, and their 70% Guatemala won a 2017 Academy of Chocolate Bronze Award.

HONOR. The Buttermilk Company was launched in a small kitchen in Seattle in October 2017 by our friend, Mitra Raman.
