Dear Friends,
It is with mixed feelings we announce the launch of our Know Me Collection in time for the Holidays. We are humbled by our collaboration with Nomi Network. Nomi creates economic opportunities for survivors and womxn at risk of human trafficking. Their namesake, Nomi, is an eight-year-old survivor of sex trafficking that the co-founders met in 2008. She now lives at a partner shelter with other girls, healing and helping others do the same. It was Nomi’s friendship and resilience that led to the realization that she did not have to be defined by her past, but by her future. 10% of the net proceeds from the Sanaya Set Know Me Collection will go right back to Nomi Network.
With heavy hearts, we must also let you know this will be our last Sanaya Set collection. While we have put our hearts and souls into our mission of elevating social justice and intersectionality, our momentum has fallen short, and we have determined we are unable to sustain our small business on our own. We have reached out to several womxn-owned businesses aligned with our values, with the hope that the Sanaya Set mission can somehow live on by joining forces, but we have not gotten engagement.
We are so grateful to all of you for your encouragement, strength, and willingness to stand with us. Because of you, we have changed lives. Together, we have supported small businesses owned by womxn of color and those from marginalized communities. We have provided economic freedom and contributed to the overall wellness of womxn and their families across the globe, who are living in freedom from human trafficking. We have empowered organizations fighting for our future, including Planned Parenthood, ACLU, OneAmerica, API Chaya, and now Nomi Network. Perhaps most importantly, you have given us hope that we can be the change we need in the world right now, that we each have the power to determine what the future holds. We will forever remain committed to our mission, values, and fight for the rights of all people.
Our timeless collections and individual Intersectional Marketplace items will be available for as long as we have stock. We would be so grateful if you would consider gifting the Sanaya Set to someone you love, and also spreading the word in your personal and professional networks. It is our hope to see the legacy of Sanaya Set live on by touching as many lives as possible. Everything on our website will be 20% using code BETHECHANGE.
